Expect the best and live joyously!

Expect the best out of life. To begin living more joyously we need to expect that life will be joyous! If you go around expecting doom and gloom you will probably and receive it, and really, is that any way to live? Why do we choose these negative thoughts when simply expecting the best provides immediate relief and?
Do you think thoughts such as "nothing every goes my way", or "life is hard,"? If so, can I make a suggestion? Get out of your own freaking way! If you operate with this mindset things are going to be hard. It will be a struggle. You won’t be lucky. Life will suck. (Ok, I just threw the last one in for theatrics!) But seriously, these are very limiting mindsets that aren’t encouraging the Universe to bring you gifts. What you focus on expands. Let me say that again, because it is so important- What you focus on expands. If you are focusing on how hard life is, then life will be hard! As Mike Dooley says, “thoughts become things, so choose the good ones!”. How do you want your life to be? Do you want life to flow along harmoniously? Do you want money and love and fun to show up in your life easily and joyfully? I do!

If you are thinking these negative thoughts it may be because you haven’t known any better. You didn’t fully understand how much your thoughts create your reality. Or maybe you have a deep-seeded fear of success, or the unknown, or of failure, so you tell yourself these limiting thoughts to keep you in your comfort zone. If so, it is ok. I have been there. So has probably everyone else who has or will read this book! Don’t beat yourself up over it, but instead, think of all the times something came to you easily and joyfully. What about the times you knew with certainty that something was going to work out and it did? What about that time you won $5 on a scratch-off? (Hey, it’s abundance!)

Also, don't fall into the trap of beating yourself up when you think negative thoughts- everybody does it. Remember that you are simply practicing thinking in a more positive, joyous manner, and start again.
Take 5-10 minutes and write down everything that you can think of that has come to you easily and joyfully. Write down the times you created success- what were you thinking, how did you act, and what type of energy were you projecting? Did you expect the best? Can you expect it now?

You get back what you put out. In other words, life is what you make of it. It sounds cliché, but it’s true. When you focus on the negative it saps your energy and depresses your mood. That is how downward spirals operate. If you keep focusing on the negative, then that is what you create in your experience, and you keep focusing on the negative, and more crap keeps coming, and on and on. What you are manifesting is a direct response to what you are thinking and feeling. When you expect the best every day, you are open to receive all of what you have been asking for!

It takes practice and commitment to change your focus from the negative to the positive. Pay attention to your thoughts; awareness of what you are thinking and feeling is key. If you were trying to lose weight you would pay attention to what you eat, right? You will want to apply the same care with your thoughts- don’t eat junk if you want to lose weight, and don’t think junk if you want positive changes in your life!

Today, I expect the best life has to offer. I notice and appreciate the beauty I see around me. I stay present in the moment, and thank the Universe for it's many blessings.
