Intention of the Week:

Give back to that which gives to you

This week, think about all those things in your life that give something to you, then consider how you can give back. I’m talking about things such as your home, your car, your job and employers, your co-workers, your pets, family and friends! What else can you think of to add to the list?

Consider how your home gives to you all the time. It keeps you warm (or cool) and dry. So this week when you clean up or make repairs, do so with love in your heart and the Intention to give back. Spend an extra 10 minutes cleaning. Thank your home for all it does for you.

What about your job? It gives to you in a form of a paycheck, maybe you receive benefits, maybe your co-workers are helpful. How can you give back this week? If you just show up to work with the Intention of giving back then the opportunity will present itself. Even just being mindful and present while at work is something! Be appreciative of your job and all it provides to you.

Give back to your friends and family. Sending even just a text message or e-mail saying “hello” is something! Give your pets a treat and really be present with them for a few minutes.

Simply appreciating is a positive step! If that’s all you can do then that is enough.

Too often we rush through life…I know I have been in that state of being for a couple of months, where I am not always fully present and just trying to stay afloat (I certainly haven’t been in a place where I felt like writing, in case you haven’t noticed!). This week, let’s be mindful and present and notice all the things and people in our lives that give to us, and give back, even if just a tiny bit! Give your appreciation for all the gifts in your life! Notice how you are surrounded by love and abundance at all times.
